Today's featured car is this navy blue Volkswagen Golf GTI made by Maisto. It's a 2 door cabriolet model with black soft top. This is one of the more unique castings in my diecast collection. It's 1/64 in scale and also came in a bright red colour. The headlights and emblems are detailed. Too bad the tail lights didn't get the same treatment. Enjoy the pics.
Please enjoy the pictures from my ever growing die-cast collection including Hot Wheels, Tomica, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning, Greenlight, M2 and Motormax vehicles. Feel free to leave me a comment if you'd like to see your favorite diecast cars here.

Generic Walmart Tractor Trailer
Hey diecast fans, I just got back from Walmart today. While I was there, I picked up this Kid Connection Walmart Tractor Trailer for $4. I think it originally cost about $10 when it first came out.
Here's the back of the package.
Ok, let's remove it from the box and see how it looks.
It doesn't look to shabby. The cab body is diecast, but the chassis and the trailer are entirely plastic. I tried to detach the trailer from the cab, but still haven't been successful in removing the trailer.
Here's the Walmart truck alongside this Matchbox Dodge Challenger.
A VW beetle next to the truck. There's lots of details on the cab and lots of chrome too.
The trailer doors haven't been ignored. Looks pretty realistic back here too.
Final pic: Here's the scale of the Walmart truck as compared to the Matchbox generic cab and the Toys R Us Fastlane generic cab.
Thanks for looking!

Matchbox International Armored Car
Hi there and welcome back to mytoycars.blogspot.com! My entire Matchbox diecast collection is probably less than 100 vehicles, but in my collection I have a couple of these International Armored Cars.
I think I got these from some random toy warehouse many years ago.
I remember that there was this large cardboard box filled with all these loose armored cars. If I recall correctly, they were priced at 50 cents each. What's interesting is the white chassis because I don't think this model ever had a white base.
I think they were produced for some kind of company promo and that these were the extras/leftovers.
I would imagine that the company would have put their own logos on these trucks to be used as giveaways or something. Do you have any of these blank promo cars in your collection?
